Hakimi is being officially investigated after being charged with rape earlier this month. According to Le Parisien, a 24-year-old woman from the Parisian suburb of Fontenay-sous-Bois went to a nearby police station and claimed that the Moroccan man had raped her. The lady didn't want to file a complaint, but the prosecutor did.
Fanny Colin, the Moroccan's attorney, has refuted the allegations, and the Ligue 1 front-runners are sticking by their star.
She began by defending her silence on the matter. “After having taken the decision to legally separate and to stop living together whilst awaiting the divorce procedure, which you can imagine, on top of the pain brought about by the separation, as well as having to accept the sadness that a failed project, which I gave my body and soul, brings, I was supposed to face up to this disgraceful act? I needed time to come to terms with this shock,” she said in a statement released on her Instagram account, transcribed by RMC Sport.
“One must trust the legal process, especially considering the gravity of the accusation. Nonetheless, in my life, I have always been on the side of victims,” she said. The Spanish actress concluded her message by calling for her private life, and that of her children, to be respected at this time given the “delicate circumstances.”
