Bukayo Saka, an Arsenal attacker, is doubtful for Saturday's match against Leeds due to an injury sustained while representing England in an away match against Italy.

Prior to their return to Premier League play after the break, Arsenal is dealing with a number of injury issues. After defeating Crystal Palace 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium, the Arsenal increased their advantage over the defending champions Manchester City to eight points.

During the international break, Mikel Arteta may not be able to use a few important players for the match against Leeds United on Saturday, April 1. Takehiro Tomiyasu had knee surgery after suffering an injury during the Europa League match against Sporting CP, which saw Arsenal leave the tournament after a thrilling two-legged contest. As a result, he won't be available for the remainder of the season.

William Saliba was hurt in the same match, missing the victory against Palace, and was then dropped from Didier Deschamps' France team for the next international break. Eddie Nketiah is still recovering from an ankle injury, while Bukayo Saka is still being called for protection after being fouled repeatedly in England's victory against Italy on Thursday.

Saka has played an absurd number of minutes so far this season, so it would be wise to rest the Hale End hero before a home match against Leeds, particularly following an international break in which he continued to get fouled and booted.

Nketiah is still recovering from his injury and is still a question mark for the game against Leeds, but with Gabriel Jesus back in the lineup and having two more weeks to train with Arteta to improve his match fitness, it's possible that the Brazilian will start in place of Gabriel Martinelli in the midfield and one of Emile Smith Rowe or Reiss Nelson in the attacking position.

Leandro Trossard is another possibility that may be employed, while Jesus, who has prior experience playing from the right flank, could take Saka's spot if Arteta decides to rest the England international. Martinelli might play as a false nine alongside Trossard and Jesus.

Bukayo Saka may not play against Leeds following his challenging match against Italy during England's international break.

Arsenal starting XI: Ramsdale; White, Holding, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard; Jesus, Martinelli, Trossard.
