Luis Diaz is anticipated to resume training with Liverpool "in the next week," according to Jurgen Klopp, having recovered from a serious injury.

After tearing his knee ligaments against Arsenal, the Colombian winger hasn't played for the Reds since October. Diaz had to have surgery after experiencing a setback in his recovery in December, but he will soon be able to resume training.

In his pre-trip remarks, Klopp said: "Luis, I hope will be able [to train] in the next week." In worse news, the Liverpool manager confirmed that Joe Gomez will miss the trip to the Vitality Stadium with a muscle issue, but he hopes the English centre-back "might be able to train [in the] middle of the week."

Thiago, who hasn't played in the last month due to a hip flexor injury, will also be rested for the match against Bournemouth. The Spanish midfielder's condition is reportedly getting better, but the match against the Cherries will come too soon.

Klopp concluded: "All three [are] not available [to face Bournemouth]. Apart from that, nothing that I have heard about."

The only sustained absence for Liverpool is Calvin Ramsay, who will miss the remainder of the campaign following knee surgery.

In an effort to pass Tottenham and move into the top four, Liverpool will travel to the south coast on Saturday in search of their third straight Premier League victory. The Reds are aware that a victory over bottom-of-the-table Bournemouth in the early game will put them in fourth place before Tottenham's match with Nottingham Forest at 3 o'clock.
