Man U fans call Antony "selfish" player after his performance against Real Betis

Man United star was criticized by fans for acting "selfishly" during the Real Betis match.
With the goal at their disposal during his team's Europa League match against Real Betis, Manchester United winger Antony chose to shoot rather than pass to any of his three teammates, drawing criticism from supporters for wasting a significant opportunity.

After Marcus Rashford's first-half goal was cancelled out by Ayoze Perez, United went into halftime with a 3-1 lead thanks to goals from Antony and Bruno Fernandes.

The former Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was the only opponent Antony had to beat when he was put through on goal; to his left, Fred, Wout Weghorst, and Rashford were all waiting for a tap-in.

However, the Brazilian forward mysteriously went for goal himself and missed the target. They weren't the only ones annoyed by Antony's choices; his teammates were perplexed as to why he hadn't set them up for an easy goal.

'Antony is so greedy that’s an easy goal if u pass to your teammate there,' one fan claimed on Twitter.

Another supporter was equally annoyed, insisting that Antony had cost the team a certain goal.

'Antony too selfish. Had he squared that pass to Fred or Wout, they would have scored,' they wrote.
