Aleksandar Mitrovic, Willian, and manager Marco Silva were all fired from Fulham in less than a minute after they suffered a crushing 3-1 defeat to Manchester United.
Willian made a diving stop to preserve Fulham's 1-0 lead against Old Trafford rivals Jadon Sancho in the FA Cup quarterfinal. A study revealed that it was the Brazilian's use of his arm that had prompted the VAR check.
Fulham boss Silva abruptly lost his composure and was handed the red card as referee Chris Kavanagh deliberated reversing his verdict. Willian was rightfully sent off the pitch when Kavanagh came back to award United a penalty.
When he had given his side the lead early in the second half, Fulham captain Mitrovic continued to complain and assaulted the referee. Kavanagh slapped down a third red card in under a minute.
Marco Silva was seen leaving the Fulham dressing room and walking around the Old Trafford tunnel area.
United gained the edge when Marcus Rashford successfully converted the penalty and Marcel Sabitzer scored the winner, which was his first goal for the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will now face Brighton Hove Albion in the semi final of the FA Cup.
