Aaron Ramsdale wants to become an Arsenal hero

Aaron Ramsdale, a star for Arsenal, is certain that he wants to finish his career there and establish himself as a legend.

The goalkeeper joined the Arsenal for an estimated £30 million from Sheffield United and is now in his second season.

The 24-year-old is having a strong season and is assisting Mikel Arteta's team in maintaining their lead over Manchester City in the championship chase.

Ramsdale won the London Football Awards keeper of the year award for his 13 shutouts in all competitions this season.

The English goalkeeper told the BBC that he intends to remain at Arsenal for a number of years.

Ramsdale said: "It was a difficult period moving club to club, even before that going on loan, I never imagined leaving Bournemouth after a year, I never imagined leaving Sheffield United after a year.

"But this is a place now where I can see myself for 10, 12, 15 years.

"That’s the aim, that’s the goal, that’s the aim, to stay at the top for that amount of time.

"Hopefully, I’ll never have to leave and I’ll become a real hero and legend at this football club."
