Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison has come out to criticize his manager, Antonio Conte after they were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered exit from the club European competition despite goalless draw against AC Milan in the second leg.

Recall that the first leg at the San Siro ended 1-0 in favour of the Rossoneri.

Richarlison was acquired by Tottenham Hotspur from Everton for €58 million last summer.

Since joining the Spurs, he has experienced difficulty getting into games, though.

During the 2022 World Cup, Richarlison performed extremely well. After the match, he was anticipated to receive more playing time at Spurs. Richarlison has yet to start for Tottenham Hotspur, though.

During his tenure at Everton, he was among the top strikers in the Premier League. Richarlison made the decision to join Tottenham Hotspur as a result of the Toffees' poor performance.

Richarlison played for 20 minutes in a scoreless draw between AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur. He was unable to affect the outcome of the game, and Spurs lost and were eliminated from the competition. Following the game, the Brazilian forward gave an explosive interview.

Richarlison said: 'This season has been s***…I was coming off two good wins against West Ham and Chelsea and suddenly he [Conte] puts me on the bench. I didn't understand’

'Suddenly, he (Cristian Stellini) put me on the bench, against Wolverhampton he put me on for five minutes. I asked why? They didn't tell me anything.

'And, yesterday, they asked me to take a test at the gym, that if I was good I would go to the game and, at the time of the game, they left me on the bench. These are things that it is not possible to understand.

'Let's see what he (Conte) will say tomorrow, but there are no fools here either, I'm a professional, I work every day and I want to play. There are minutes left, time left.

'This season, excuse the word, it's been s***, because I don't have minutes, I suffered a little with the injury. But, when I enter the field, I give my life. I came from two games well, I think that's it, I think I should have played and I don't have to cry about it.'
