Fabrizio Romano, a well-known transfer expert, has offered an update on Bukayo Saka's contract renewal.

The English international, who is 21 years old, is one of Mikel Arteta's shining lights this season, and the Gunners want to sign him to a long-term contract.

Given that the 21-year-current old's agreement is set to expire in 2024, Arsenal is eager to sign him to a new, long-term deal.

Moreover, Fabrizio Romano, a transfer analyst, has good news about Saka's contract talks.

He asserts that the winger and the Gunners have already verbally agreed to a new contract.

Romano told CaughtOffside: "Unsurprisingly, Arsenal fans keep asking me about his contract!

"An official announcement depends on the Arsenal media team, but the verbal agreement has been reached weeks ago.

"Saka has accepted, the new deal is ready so it's up to the club to meet and sign the documents once final small details are sorted.

"But rest assured, Saka will extend."

Nevertheless, Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace on Sunday after being eliminated from the Europa League, and Gunners fans may be in for more good news soon.

After a 4-1 win against Palace at the Emirates, Mikel Arteta's team increased its lead over the competition at the top to eight points.

Arsenal, who have now won their previous six league games, cruised to a comfortable victory thanks to two goals and one assist from Bukayo Saka.

With 13 goals in all competitions and 10 assists, Saka has once again been Arsenal's star performer this season.
