Actress Jumoke Odetola shares frustration on persistent Lagos traffic jam

Nollywood actor Jumoke Odetola has expressed her outrage over Lagos' constant traffic jams.
The Yoruba movie star posted a complaint about Lagos' persistent traffic woes on social media.

Lagos is one of Nigeria's most populous states, but it also has one of the smallest areas of land. For this reason, among others, the city is known for its implacable traffic jams.

Despite the fact that several governments have made promises and even made attempts to address the enduring issue of Lagos traffic, none have succeeded in doing so to far.

Since last week, commuters have had to endure several hours of gridlock, particularly those who live in certain areas of the mainland because of construction at important crossings.

Jumoke Odetola, meanwhile, said that action needed to be taken quickly to address the problem. She bemoaned the fact that not only is the situation bad for business, but it also lowers the inhabitants' standard of living.

“Yesterday, I finished work at 4 pm.

“I didn’t get home until 2 am (Ajah – Magodo)…10hrs! Lagos to Lagos! Time that could have been put into productive work or relaxation,” she said.

“This morning again, Lagos – Ibadan Expressway is marking the attendance of wickedness, it’s doing competition of na me wicked pass. Woos, e be like say na to dey sleep for house sure pass. Independent woman in the mud, I no do again,” she added
