Çağlar Söyüncü, a defender for Leicester City, is expected to sign a pre-contract with Atlético Madrid and join the club for free in the summer.
The 26-year-old had been cut from the squad because he refused to agree to a new contract with the Premier League club, but once Brendan Rodgers was fired, he was reinstated.
Söyüncü was a target for Atlético during the January transfer window, but they were unable to come to terms with Leicester and chose to wait until the summer.
Meanwhile Sport Journalist Fabrizio Romano had confirmed that the deal has been completed.
The Italian journalist said that Çağlar Söyüncü has put pen to paper on a long term deal with Diego Simeone side.
Although Çağlar Söyüncü will be officially unveiled as Atletico Madrid player on 1st of June
Söyüncü has played 129 times and scored three goals for Leicester over the course of four seasons. He comes at the King Power Stadium in 2018 from Freiburg in the Bundesliga and quickly established himself as a stalwart for Rodgers. He has just been 26 but has already made 53 appearances for his nation and scored twice.
