Rapper Cardi B has said that, despite the blockbuster album "Invasion of Privacy" being half a decade old, she still makes "millions" of cash from it.
Ahead of the fifth anniversary of her Grammy-winning first Record, Cardi was showered with presents from her crew on Wednesday, April 5.
Cardi sat in the studio with her producer, J. White Done It, and engineer, Evan LaRay, in a video she shared on her Instagram Stories. In it, she responds to admirers who sent her a bottle of wine, strawberry-flavored cupcakes, and a cake that stated, “Happy 5th Anniversary!”
Together with a CD copy of the album, an Invasion of Privacy vinyl record may be seen sitting atop a bunch of flowers.
Invasion of Privacy, which was published on April 6, 2018, became a big hit right away, entering at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with more than 250,000 first-week sales. Since then, the RIAA has awarded it triple platinum certification (Recording Industry Association of America).
The album received a lot of positive reviews and won the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, defeating Travis Scott's Astroworld, Pusha T's Daytona, Nipsey Hussle's Victory Lap, and Mac Miller's Swimming.
She received a diamond song for "Bodak Yellow" in March 2021, making her the first female rapper to ever do it. (She later added two more diamond singles to her record.)
