Erik Den Hag explain reason Harry Maguire missed Man United's 2-2 draw with Tottenham

Manager Erik ten Hag of Manchester United has provided some clarification over his lineup against Tottenham Hotspur.

On Thursday night, Tottenham held the Red Devils to a 2-2 draw away from home. 

Even though Manchester United quickly took a 2-0 lead in the first half, Spurs rallied to tie the match. 

The England international will not play on Thursday night, but this time it is because of an injury he sustained during practice. 

“[It is a] training injury,” Ten Hag told MUTV. “It's a training injury. But we have proved we can sort it out. And I'm convinced we can do it today as well.

Rafael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are already absent from Manchester United owing to injury. If you recall, the two defenders were hurt while playing Sevilla in the Europa League.
