N'Golo Kante is a surprising exclusion from the squad, however.
N'Golo Kanté reportedly wasn't even on the bench when Frank Lampard took over as interim manager of Chelsea.
The former Everton manager claims that he chose to rest Kante by leaving him out of this weekend's game.
Lampard explains Kanté is “rested” as “we have to protect a couple of the players in the squad".
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano:
Kante recently made his almost seven-month absence from the Chelsea squad up.
Due to a significant knee injury, the French player was sidelined from the beginning of the season.
