El Clasico on Wednesday night was as competitive as usual, with multiple flashpoints during the game that Real Madrid easily won.
One such instance occurred in the first frame when Gavi and Vinicius Junior exchanged strikes. The two were both given a booking for their roles in the incident, and their hostility persisted for the whole of the game.
The Barcelona midfielder was seen by El Chiringuito making an inappropriate gesture against Vinicius, holding up his privates while glaring at the Brazilian.
On Wednesday, Vinicius, though, was the one who had the final laugh. On his sixth appearance at the stadium, he scored the game's first goal at The Camp Nou shortly before halftime. Before providing the assist for Benzema's hat-trick goal, he also earned a penalty that Karim Benzema converted.
Vinicius will want to assist Real Madrid win the Copa del Rey and the Champions League, whereas Gavi will only be concerned with helping Barcelona win the La Liga championship.
