Jurgen Klopp fire warning to Mikel Arteta and Arsenal ahead of their Premier League match

Despite praising the "great" Gunners, Jürgen Klopp is certain that Liverpool can defeat the league leaders this Saturday.

On Sunday, the Gunners go to Anfield in an effort to make progress toward winning their first league championship in over 19 years.

With nine games left, Mikel Arteta's team leads Manchester City by eight points at the top of the standings.

Even if Pep Guardiola's team does have a game in hand, Arsenal keeps disproving the naysayers.

The Gunners' hardest remaining matchup is against Jurgen Klopp's team on Merseyside the following Saturday. Last time out, Man City handily overcame the Reds, placing them in ninth place.

Despite Chelsea's goal-shy assault failing once again, Liverpool managed to escape with a point in the 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge.

The matchup between the Premier League's two greatest underachievers this season was appropriately forgettable, but the Blues will be perplexed as to how they failed to win after blowing many opportunities and having two goals disallowed.

Klopp said: Arsenal are ‘flying’ and playing ‘super football’ but can be beaten if his side play to their potential. ‘The next game is Arsenal,’ Klopp said after the Stamford Bridge stalemate.

‘I don’t know exactly where Arsenal were last year, but they are now obviously flying, in incredible shape, play super football, honestly, that is really good to watch.

‘But we are there, it is a home game and our home record is not as bad as the away record. It means I am really looking forward to this game now because tonight I saw a step and that’s what I wanted.

‘Now let’s carry on. Anfield is waiting for us and we want to deliver. We have another 10 games to play and the next one is Arsenal. Not the other nine, I am not interested in [those games].'
