After breaking a metatarsal bone in his foot, Lisandro Martinez has been declared ineligible for the rest of the season.
The Argentinean defender is anticipated to fully recuperate in time for the start of the next season, however.
In the 86th minute of Thursday night's 2-2 tie with Sevilla in the UEFA Europa League quarterfinal, Martinez suffered an injury.
Although Lisandro's debut season at United has regrettably come to an early end, the center-back will look back on it as a memorable one since he made 45 club appearances, became a fan favorite, and helped the team win the Carabao Cup.
When Argentina defeated France in the Qatar 2022 World Cup final in December, Martinez became only the sixth United player to win the tournament.
Raphael Varane, on the other hand, was substituted from the same game at halftime due to an injury and is anticipated to miss a few weeks.
