Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Nathan Ake will be unavailable for Manchester City's home game against Arsenal.
The Citizens will host the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night in a Premier league game which has been tagged, "title decider"
After suffering a hamstring injury against Bayern Munich the previous week, Pep Guardiola has revealed that the Manchester City defender would be unable to participate in the match on Wednesday.
It's been gathered that Ake will sit out the game against Arsenal after previously missing the FA Cup semifinal, and the manager was unable to say whether or not he would be ready for the Champions League fixture in two weeks.
Guardiola said after the World Cup that the club could not play successfully without Ake, who has been a crucial component of the City defense this season. Aymeric Laporte, who replaced him for the last few minutes of the game against Bayern, is the logical choice to take his position against Arsenal.
With just 28 goals allowed in 30 games, City has the second-best defense in the league. Guardiola expects them to struggle at times against a team that has won the league for so long, but they are up against the second-best offensive with Arsenal scoring 77 goals, only one less than the current champion.
