Following their thrilling victory against Brighton on Saturday, Man United will take on Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Following the scoreless draw at Wembley Stadium, the semifinal matchup entered a penalty shootout after 120 minutes of play.

A video seems to show Erik ten Hag and Steve McClaren asking who wants to take the first penalty kick as the teams gathered together before the shootout.

Casemiro raises his hand and accepts responsibility for the first kick without any hesitation. His competitive mindset paid off as he calmly converted his penalty and sent Robert Sanchez the wrong way.

Naturally, Man United supporters praised the Brazilian midfielder's mindset on social media as a result of his deeds leading up to the penalty shootout.

Man United defeated cross-town foe Man City in a shootout, 7-6, setting up a matchup on June 3.

One Twitter user wrote: "Offered to take the first pen and scored, Casemiro is a f**king leader. We all know the refs target him and I’m sure that knocks his confidence at times too."

A second tweeted: "Talent is one thing but mentality character and leadership is another. Casemiro didn’t hesitate to take the first pen he wanted it!."

A third added: "What I love about Casemiro is his grit. You see it all the time, even in pen shootout, he wants to go first, dig in, take control. Real leader."

A fourth said: "Hasn’t been great lately, but he really is 'the cement between the stones' one of my favorite players of recent years. He gets what it means to play for this club."
