"Nigeria is proud of you! I am proud of you!" - Tinubu sends message to Anthony Joshua after victory against Franklin

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, praised Anthony Joshua for his endurance and resolve after the boxer beat Jermaine Franklin. Joshua was born in Nigeria.

In a tweet sent on Sunday, Tinubu expressed the nation's pride in the boxer.

The tweet reads: "Congratulations Champ! 

@AnthonyJoshua. Determination and perseverance always pays off.  Nigeria is proud of you! I am proud of you!" 

As you remember, Joshua, a former world heavyweight champion, defeated Franklin by majority decision on Saturday night at the 02 Arena in London to resume his winning ways.
