"We can still beat Real Madrid" - Mykhailo Mudryk remains positive despite Chelsea defeat to Brighton

Following yesterday's loss, Chelsea's winger Mudryk made it known that the Blues can still defeat Madrid in second leg UCL clash.

The 22-year-old said on his Twitter timeline that Chelsea can still beat out Real Madrid in the qualifying round despite their dismal performance.

The Blues should concentrate properly on that game, Mykhailo Mudryk said, rather than moping over their defeat to Brighton Hove Albion the day before.

Since Frank Lampard became manager at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea has not yet recorded a victory.

Recall that Chelsea suffered a 2-0 defeat in the first leg last week at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

The Ukrainian acknowledged that Chelsea wasn't at their best against Brighton when speaking to the media after the game, but he thinks the Blues can make a statement against Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

The player said, in his own words:"We all feel it. We want to win but now it is hard for us but like I say, we keep training hard and one day everything can be changed."

In the January transfer window, Chelsea added Mykhailo Mudryk to their roster.

The Ukrainian international subsequently decided to sign for Chelsea after Shaktar agreed to a £100 million agreement with the Blues. He was originally expected to join Arsenal during the summer window.

Mudryk added: "We are already thinking about the next game, the UCL. It is a big opportunity for us and we should all show our best."
