The Gunners are still in first place, but following the 2-2 draw against Liverpool, their lead over Manchester City has shrunk to six points.
Arsenal have no space to make a mistake with Pep Guardiola's team still having a game remaining. Arteta will be attempting to defeat the Hammers on the road once again.
The Gunners manager stated before the game that William Saliba is still out with a back injury sustained against Sporting.
The boss is still optimistic that the Frenchman will be eligible for selection in the 'coming few weeks' even though he has not yet returned to first-team training.
Eddie Nketiah should play again after fully recovering from the ankle injury he received before the Bournemouth game, according to Arteta.
He spoke to Arsenal.com, "William is still not available. He’s progressing well and we are hopeful we’ll have him available in the next few weeks, but we’ll have to see.
“He’s not far from starting to do that [return to training]. Obviously we need to be cautious because of the injury, but he’s evolving well.
“Eddie is back and is fully fit now. We want our players to be as fit as possible and available.”
