Riyad Mahrez, an Algerian winger, responded to his outstanding performance in Manchester City's FA Cup semi-final triumph against Sheffield United.

The 32-year-old netted a hat-trick as City cruised through the English Premier League's playoff contenders and into the FA Cup final.

After the game, the former African Player of the Year posted on social media to express his joy.

"One, two and three. Top result today, very happy to help the team reach the final. Take your seats," he wrote on Twitter.

Mahrez and his City squad have two games remaining in the Premier League and advanced to the UEFA Champions League semifinals, putting them in position to capture a triple this season.

If City wins their remaining games, they may pass Arsenal at the top of the Premier League standings.

The English champions will visit Arsenal in a top-of-the-table matchup the following week as the championship chase intensifies.

Mahrez, who has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season, has been important for City.

With his excellent hat trick against Sheffield United in the FA Cup semifinal on April 22, Riyad Mahrez established a special club record.

The Blades managed to contain City, who were the overwhelming favorites, until Mahrez's penalty kick in the 42nd minute broke the tie.

The Algerian's incredible day had only begun when he scored his second goal after slicing past the defense of Sheffield soon after the hour mark.
