Mikel Arteta has updated the fitness of William Saliba and Eddie Nketiah ahead of Arsenal's game against West Ham.
At 2 PM GMT kickoff, the Gunners will head to the London stadium to take on their other London opponent.

Mikel Arteta revealed to the media on Friday that William Saliba won't be available for this weekend's game against West Ham United.

However, Eddie Nketiah, who just returned from injury, is once again a candidate to participate in the game.

The French defender, who has missed the last three games with a back ailment, may be forced to watch from the sidelines once again on Sunday, according to Mikel.

Arteta is optimistic that he will be able to play again at London Colney as soon as possible.

On Saliba situation, Mikel said: “William is still not available. He’s progressing well and we are hopeful we’ll have him available in the next few weeks, but we’ll have to see.

“He’s not far from starting to do that [return to training]. Obviously we need to be cautious because of the injury, but he’s evolving well."
Nketiah, who had been out since Arsenal's 4-0 victory against Everton, has recovered from an injury setback.

However, Arteta believes he has seen enough to include the England under-21 international in his future plans.

On Nketiah fitness, Arteta said“Eddie is back and is fully fit now. We want our players to be as fit as possible and available. We’ve had some issues, especially in the last few months with some important players. We just want to have everybody fit and available to help the team.”
