Gary Neville, a former captain of Manchester United, believes Mauricio Pochettino would be the ideal Graham Potter replacement at Chelsea.
After a 2-0 Premier League defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday, Potter was fired by Blues co-owner Todd Boehly.
Chelsea had already named Buno Saltor as their temporary manager for the conclusion of the current campaign.
In the Premier League standings, the Blues are presently in 11th position.
A few candidates have been mentioned, including Julian Nagelsmann, who just lost his position at Bayern Munich.
Neville believes Pochettino, who formerly led Tottenham in England, would be the most appropriate choice.
“If they appoint Zidane, Enrique or Diego Simeone, they’re going to want to have another £300m as they won’t like some of the players they’ve previously signed.
“They’ve got to appoint a manager who is going to inherit and like the squad that they’ve got. – a lot of them are young – and I think that man is Mauricio Pochettino,” Neville told Sky Sports.
Tuesday night, Chelsea will play Liverpool, who are currently having a lot of league difficulties.
If you remember, Manchester City humiliated Jurgen Klopp's team 4-1 over the weekend at Etihad Stadium.
