Arsenal's summer target Ivan Toney suspended by FA and slammed with £500K fine over betting breach

Ivan Toney of Brentford has been given an eight-month suspension from all football and football-related activities for breaking FA betting regulations.

In November, the 27-year-old was accused of breaking more than 250 gaming laws between the years of 2017 and 2021. On January 17, 2024, a Wednesday, his suspension will expire.

In addition, Toney received a £50,000 punishment for his behavior after admitting to 232 infractions, 30 of which the FA withdrew. Toney is an England international.

After his formal suspension, Toney's potential summer transfer to Chelsea or Arsenal has been called into question.
