Bayern Munich boss, Thomas Tuchel holds Bundesliga trophy after he won first title in Germany

On the last day of the season, Bayern Munich was led by Thomas Tuchel to win the 2022–23 Bundesliga championship.

Due to their 2-1 away victory against Koln on Saturday, the Bavarians had to wait until the very last minute to claim the championship. 

With predictions that Dortmund would lose to Mainz in their other game, Thomas Tuchel's team needed to win the game. 

Bayern Munich won the championship by only one point above Dortmund, who fought Mainz 05 to a 2-2 tie in the other game, thanks to goals from Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala. 

Thomas Tuchel, who has previously led Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, won his first championship in Germany. 

The Bayern Munich team, who won the championship despite having a patchy season, will do their trophy procession soon. 

Recall that throughout the season, Thomas Tuchel took over as Julian Nagelsmann's manager at Allianz Arena.
