Christopher Nkunku wins top scorer award with 16 goals in Bundesliga for 2022-23 season

On the last matchday of the Bundesliga season, Christopher Nkunku scored twice to equal Füllkrug (16) and win the Golden Boot.

This comes after an injury cost him many months of the current campaign.

In his farewell game for RB Leipzig, a 4-2 victory against Schalke, the striker scored twice.

According to reports, despite missing nine games, the Frenchman won the Bundesliga Golden Boot thanks to his two goals on the last day of the season. Nkunku scored twice, giving him goals 15 and 16 for the year.

As a result of Niclas Fullkrug's goalless performance in SV Werder Bremen's 1-0 loss to Union Berlin, Nkunku and the German international are named the league's equal top scorers.

The next season will see the French international play for Chelsea. After moving to Stamford Bridge for a cost of £50 million
