The late Diego Maradona and the legendary Ronaldo Nazario of Brazil were recognized by AC Milan icon Paolo Maldini as the two finest strikers he had faced.
Maldini praised God that he avoided playing against Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain and said that Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo is a fantastic attacker but lacks the charm of Maradona and Nazario.
Maldini (via Tutto Juve) described the top attackers he has faced as follows: "He [Maradona] and Ronaldo [Nazario], the Brazilian, are the strongest.
“I did not play against Messi, thank God. CR7 [Cristiano Ronaldo] is a great striker, but he has less magic than the other two.”
“I was fast and physically strong, but they [Maradona and Ronaldo] were even faster. Diego [Maradona] was also very nice. When they nominated him in the Hall of Fame, I was ashamed for having given him so many blows, and I apologised,” he said
