President-elect Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians not to feel sorry for him as he takes on the enormous burden of constructing a country.
This was said by Tinubu on Sunday evening at his gala night and inaugural banquet.
The former governor of Lagos stressed that he was aware of the work at hand and that he would not provide any justifications.
He encouraged Nigerians for holding him responsible for keeping his campaign pledges instead.
In the 2023 presidential election, Tinubu, who ran on the ticket of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), beat Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.
“We have corruption, insecurity and many problems confronting us… but don’t pity me. I asked for the job. I campaigned for it. No excuses.
“I will live up to expectation, I promise you,” Tinubu said
