"It's been five months and I love it here" - Joao Felix sends message to Mauricio Pochettino

Joao Felix, a Chelsea loanee, has made it known he would want to remain at the club through this summer and has placed the onus of a permanent move squarely on Mauricio Pochettino.

After moving to west London on loan in January, the Atletico Madrid attacker has had a mixed experience. He has scored only three goals in 14 games in the Premier League so far.

Felix lost his starting spot for Chelsea under interim manager Frank Lampard, although he used to be one of the few shining lights in the closing months of Graham Potter's reign.

However, there are currently questions around Chelsea's willingness to provide the amount of money Atletico would need to approve a long-term sale.

“I don’t know yet about my future. It’s four or five months and I love it.

“It’s a top club, everyone in the club was very good to me.

“My team-mates were unbelievable and I really like to be here.”

The Spanish press has reported that Atletico want £88 million from Chelsea to sell Felix, so the Blues will need to consider if the transfer makes sense for them.

The footballer seems to have said in a recent interview about his future that he would be ready to make the change permanent:

Additionally, Pochettino will need to choose if he wants to prioritize a signing like Felix or spend heavily on a new No. 9.

It has been suggested that after Romelu Lukaku's loan stint at Inter Milan, he would try to give him a second chance the following season.
