Nominees for the EPL Young Player of the Season include Haaland, Saka, and Odegaard

Arsenal had the most nominees with three, according to the Premier League's eight-man shortlist for Young Player of the Season.

A few young players had the chance to show off their skills during the 2022–23 season, with 22-year-old Erling Haaland possibly being the most notable name after scoring 36 goals in 33 Premier League games.

Despite Manchester City's fantastic season and desire to clinch the Premier League championship with a victory over Chelsea this weekend, he makes the list as the lone representative from that team.

Probably runner-up Despite losing the championship fight, Arsenal nevertheless had a fantastic season. Their core of youthful talents enabled them return to the top four for the first time since 2017, and this was acknowledged in the shortlist.

The selection includes Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, all 21 years old, and Martin Odegaard, who is 24 years old but was 23 years old when the season began.

Saka has 13 goals and 11 assists, while Martinelli has 15 goals and 5 assists. With 15 goals and seven assists, Arsenal's captain Anders Odegaard has made his club one of the most feared in the league this season.

Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister of Brighton also represented their teams.

Under Roberto De Zerbi, the two midfielders have been crucial players this year. Caicedo has impressed with his all-action, aggressive performances in the center of the park. He has played 2,826 minutes and made 31 starts for the Seagulls, giving them a great presence as their team's powerhouse.

Regarding Mac Allister, he has scored 10 goals, and it is already being said that Liverpool is interested in him because of his achievements.

Another Newcastle-based team, Sven Botman and Alexander Isak, completed the list. Isak has made an immediate impact after signing from Real Sociedad, scoring 10 goals in 14 appearances, while Botman has received praise for his courageous and combative performances in the center of defense.

Despite some optimistic Red Devils fans choose Alejandro Garnacho for a berth on the list, there are no choices from Manchester United.

After their tumultuous seasons, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham also lacked representatives.
