Former Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals that he once suggested that Red Devils sign Erling Haaland when he was at Molde.
The 22-year-old striker came from the Norway club, Molde which Solskjaer once managed before he took charge of Manchester United.
Erling Haaland has become a sensation since he arrived at Etihad Stadium at the start of the season.
Manchester City signed the Norway forward from Borussia Dortmund and he has gone on to score over 35 Premier league goals so far.
While speaking to Sun Sport, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that he wanted Manchester United to sign Erling Haaland for just £3.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær said: "I called Manchester United six months before I took over and told them that I’d got this striker, this boy Haaland that we had… but they didn't listen”.
“I asked for £4m for Erling. They did not sign him”, he added.
