On May 3, President Muhammadu Buhari will fly to London, United Kingdom, to join other heads of state who have been invited to Charles III and Camilla's coronation as His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, respectively.
The coronation will happen on May 6th, a Saturday.
The Commonwealth Secretariat will use the meeting of world leaders in London to organize a Commonwealth Summit for presidents and heads of government of Commonwealth nations on May 5, according to a statement from the presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, before the coronation.
The Summit, which will discuss the Future of the Commonwealth and the Role of the Youth, is scheduled to include participation from President Buhari.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, the National Security Adviser, Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno (Retd), the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Chairperson/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and other officials will accompany the President.
