Lionel Messi has been banned by PSG with immediate effect, according to sensational French media claims.
On Sunday, Messi played the whole game for Christophe Galtier's team as they lost 3-1 at home to Lorient.
The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner then flew to Saudi Arabia with his family only hours after the loss.
Being an ambassador for Saudi tourism, the Argentine ace had a contractual obligation to go on the trip. Messi made his third trip to the nation in the Middle East and was seen at Riyadh Airport.
The trip was reportedly not permitted, which infuriated club members, including administrators and teammates.
According to RMC Sport, Messi has been disciplined and will miss the next two weeks of play.
Messi may have played his last game for the French giants since his contract was set to expire at the conclusion of the current season.
One year ago, Messi made his first trip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, exploring Jeddah and taking in the Red Sea.
