Yoruba actor Murphy Afolabi slumps and dies in his home

Murphy Afolabi, a Yoruba actor in Nollywood, dies in a bathroom accident in his home. 

The Yoruba actor is said to have collapsed on Sunday, May 14, 2023, in the toilet of his home in Ikorodu, Lagos.

On a WhatsApp forum used by filmmakers, a filmmaker and the head of the Yoruba movies directors guild, Seun Olaiya, communicated the tragic news. 

Abdullahi Abdulrasaq, the Managing Director of the well-known film marketing firm Corporate Pictures Nigeria Limited, backed him up.

Olaiya wrote, “I swear to God just before the news, I was still hailing him. This is really a rude shock to me.”
