Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has expressed his optimism that Erling Haaland will become a better player but rules out comparism with Messi.
The 22-year-old striker seems to be having a good debut season in England after he joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund.
Erling Haaland has already scored 50 goals in all competitions for Pep Guardiola's side as he leads the scorers chat.
While responding to a comparism with Lionel Messi, the Manchester City boss admitted the legendary 35 years old is a complete player.
Pep Guardiola said: “Messi/Haaland? You can’t compare any player with Messi — Leo is the most complete player I have ever seen”.
Guardiola enjoyed great time while he managed Lionel Messi at Barcelona, where they dominated Europe for several years.
The Spanish coach described Lionel Messi qualities saying, “Vision, passing, competitiveness, many things... hopefully Haaland can be so close like Leo, it will be great for us!”.
Later tonight, Manchester City will host West Ham in their Premier League clash.
The Citizens hope to regain the top spot with a victory against West Ham who are battling relegation.
