Arsenal refuses to let Granit Xhaka join Bayern Leverkusen.

Granit Xhaka will be allowed to go after Arsenal completes the £105 million deal to acquire West Ham captain Declan Rice, although Bayer Leverkusen may need to up their bid.

To get Granit Xhaka, Bayer Leverkusen could need to up their offer.

As soon as they complete the £105 million deal for Declan Rice, the captain of West Ham, Arsenal is prepared to let Xhaka go. When Arsenal gives the go-ahead, Leverkusen will move quickly to complete a deal for the 30-year-old Xhaka.

In Germany, Xhaka is being given at least a four-year contract, and there is a perception that if they see him as a long-term acquisition, they should also be required to spend about £20 million rather than the low-ball offer that has so far been proposed.

Mikel Arteta continues to be a great supporter of the midfielder, and Swiss captain Xhaka gave his farewell during Arsenal's season-ending match.

However, with agreements for Rice and Ajax player Jurrien Timber in the works and the £65 million acquisition of Kai Havertz from Blues already finalized, Arsenal will try to unload players.

Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding may possibly go this summer, and Juventus is interested in Thomas Partey. There is also interest from Saudi Arabia and other Italian countries.

Rice's price is met by Arsenal's £105 million bid, although West Ham and Arsenal have not yet agreed on the payment schedule.
