Brighton confirm signing of Mahmoud Dahoud from Borussia Dortmund on free transfer

Mahmoud Dahoud will be joining Brighton Hove Albion, the team has announced.

On July 1, 2023, the 27-year-old is expected to sign with the Seagulls. 

Last season, Mahmoud Dahoud left Dortmund as his contract expired. 

Dahoud now has a four-year deal with Brighton that runs until June 2027. 

Prior to joining Dortmund in 2017, he made his debut in the Bundesliga in 2014 and assisted Gladbach in reaching the Champions League.

His playing time was limited when he had shoulder surgery last summer, but he still managed to make 141 appearances for this season's Bundesliga runners-up.
