Ben Chilwell responded to his father Wayne Chilwell's passing today with a post on his verified Facebook page.
The Chelsea player said that his adored father is running late and then used his social media network to express his anguish.
He expressed his happiness that his father saw him play for the national team of England before his passing in response to hearing of his father's passing.
Recall that in September 2018 for an international match versus Switzerland, Ben Chilwell was selected up by the under-21 squad to the national England squad.
On September 11, 2018, in a 1-0 victory for the home team, the former full defender for Leicester City made his first appearance in this game after replacing Danny Rose in the 79th minute.
Ben Chilwell captioned the post: "The reason I am where I am. The most loving dad, who always put everyone before himself and made everyone smile and laugh. I am so glad we got to live my dream together, and especially you seeing me make my debut for England. But more importantly we shared so many amazing memories away from football which i will remember forever. I will miss you every single day Dad. I love you so much".
