Portuguese football sensation Cristiano Rolando is a "very good friend" of Nigerian musician David Adeleke, often known as Davido.
He revealed this as a guest on the most recent edition of Anas Bukhash's podcast ABTalks.
Davido, who made history by being the first Nigerian performer to attend the FIFA World Cup final in Qatar last year, chastised Ronaldo's detractors after Portugal was eliminated from the competition.
"Look at [Cristiano] Ronaldo after the World Cup", he added. "By the way, he's a buddy of mine. He is a close buddy of mine."
"I remember being on the internet when he [Ronaldo] left the World Cup, and they [trolls] were abusing him so much, even after everything that he has done," the singer said.
