Manchester United has changed their attention to signing Moises Caicedo despite being disappointed with Mason Mount discussions with Chelsea.
Given that Mount has only one year left on his Stamford Bridge deal, it seems that the Red Devils have been priced out of the race to sign Chelsea's coveted player.
The English midfielder is valued at £65 million by Chelsea, according to the Daily Mirror, forcing United to contemplate walking away after their most recent offer of £55 million was immediately turned down.
Chelsea has been interested in Caicedo for a while, especially after Arsenal failed to buy him in January.
Although Caicedo, 21, prefers to play box-to-box, Mount, a midfielder for Brighton, is seen as a possible alternative for the Blues star despite Mount's reputation for offensive flair.
Caicedo is anticipated to leave The Amex this summer even though he just signed a new deal after the failure of his transfer to North London.
