"I didn't join Inter Miami because of money" - Lionel Messi reveal reason for his move to MLS

Finally, Lionel Messi has said that he will be playing for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer.

After his contract with PSG expired at the conclusion of the current campaign, the 35-year-old departed the club. 

During his two years in France, Messi contributed to the Parc des Princes team's two Ligue 1 championships. 

ESPN has learned that Inter Miami CF of the MLS is the front-runner to capture Lionel Messi.

Though the agreement has not yet been finalized, reports claim that Messi has ruled out Barcelona and that the conditions include an option for partial ownership of the MLS team.

Senior executives behind Al Hilal's bid to get Lionel Messi worry he has lost interest as he also considers a transfer to either Barcelona or Inter Miami, according to sources who spoke to ESPN.

Messi said in a media interview that money was not the driving factor behind his choice to sign with Inter Miami. 

The Argentine continued by saying that he would have chosen to go to Saudi Arabia if he had desired more money.
