Jamie Vardy, a striker for Leicester City, has apologized to supporters on social media after the team's relegation.

The Foxes concluded the 2022–23 season in 19th position in the rankings, which resulted in their relegation from the Premier League.

Leicester City fired Brendan Rogers and hired Dean Smith because the team hadn't been convincing so far in the just finished season.
Vardy said that their season-ending performance left him unsatisfied.

"I’m gutted, in fact devastated that I’m even having to write this post.

" I’ve spent the last week reflecting on our relegation and I really don’t know what to say other that I am really sorry that we didn’t deliver this season, we failed you, plain and simple, he captioned.
