The Nigerian politician shared on social media old photos of himself serving a life sentence in jail, including Kiri Kiri prison in Lagos State.

Senator Shehu Sani posted a flashback image of himself at the Kiri Kiri jail in Lagos State, where he was serving a life sentence.

He captioned, "While I was serving a life sentence for the charges of 'managing an unlawful society' (The Campaign for Democracy) and treason; On the left was in J-ward, Aba Prison, Abia State. On the right was in block 2 Cell, Kiri Kiri prison Lagos."
