Thibaut Courtois had an affair with Kevin De Bruyne's girlfriend when they were both playing for Chelsea.
The incident that occurred back in 2012 has not resurfaced, but the two players have gotten beyond it.
According to rumors, Courtois, who is now playing for Real Madrid, had a relationship with Kevin De Bruyne's fiancée ten years ago.
Caroline Lijnen admitted to having a relationship with Courtois in 2014. She said that when De Bruyne had an affair with her closest friend in 2012, she started to lean towards him.
“Kevin cheated on me,” she told Belgian publication Story Magazine.
“I did not say anything for months because I couldn't say anything, as Kevin's parents said they would take legal action if I gave my story."
Caroline Lijnen, De Bruyne's ex-girlfriend, said that in 2012, he had his first affair with one of her closest friends.
“That evening, Thibaut offered me what I had not received during a three-year relationship with Kevin. With Thibaut, I could talk about anything and everything and he had even prepared me a delicious meal. Kevin never did it for me.
“Kevin had deceived me and I thought ‘Why shouldn't I do that too?’”
The goalie was playing for Atletico Madrid when Lijnen turned and ran at Courtois.
After the incident, De Bruyne was reportedly "devastated," but it seems like the midfielder and Courtois have reconciled.
