Prior to the start of the new season, the Colombian attacker will change out of the No. 23 jersey he has been sporting since joining from FC Porto in January 2022.
James Milner, who will join Brighton & Hove Albion when his contract expires this summer, just relinquished the number.
Due to an injury he had in the early part of the season, Diaz missed numerous games for Liverpool in the previous season.
Luis Diaz will play Chelsea to open the new season, and he hopes to continue his strong play.
