Kevin De Bruyne will miss the start of next season after suffering an injury in the Champions League final.

Due to his hamstring injury, Kevin De Bruyne is unavailable for the beginning of the new season.

The Manchester City player limped out at the conclusion of the recent triumph against Inter Milan in the Champions League competition final. And subsequent examinations showed that De Bruyne, 31, had a Grade Three hamstring rupture.

Although he won't need surgery during the summer to fix the issue, he won't be able to participate in the Community Shield opener against Arsenal.

Six days later, when Manchester City begin their Premier League defense at home against Vincent Kompany's freshly promoted Burnley, De Bruyne will still be out.

De Bryune has been instructed to take time off the injury before starting his recovery properly the following month during preseason.

In time for City's trip of the Far East, the Belgian international is anticipated to link up with his teammates, but merely to complete his recuperation and not to take part in any of the games.
