On Friday, Manchester United announced the departure of seven players while also confirming that the team had kept Mason Greenwood despite the player's ban.
Recall that Greenwood was recently suspended by Man United after being accused of trying to rape a woman, acting in a controlling and coercive manner, and assault causing serious bodily damage.
But on February 2, the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the accusations when significant witnesses opted to end their cooperation.
Despite no longer being charged, Greenwood is still on administrative leave from Manchester United until an internal investigation into whether the 22-year-old was in violation of his contract and brought the Red Devils into disgrace is completed.
In the meanwhile, Man United announced the departure of seven players, including defenders Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe.
