Manchester United's £40m bid for Mason Mount has been rejected by Chelsea

Mason Mount has received an opening offer from Manchester United. 

According to reports, the Red Devils are planning to bring the English international to Old Trafford for the next season. 

Given that some players are set to depart Chelsea in the summer, the incoming coach, Mauricio Pochettino, wants to reduce the squad. 

Mason Mount has previously declined to have his Chelsea contract extended. According to rumors, the player and the club were unable to agree on new conditions for his compensation. 
Chelsea turned down a £40 million bid from Manchester United because they wanted more money.

Mason Mount and Fabrizio Romano have already reached a personal agreement, according to Fabrizio Romano.
