"Mbappe won’t join Manchester City. You already know where he wants to go" - Guardiola says

Pep Guardiola, speaking to the Spanish media, hinted that Kylian Mbappé will not be joining the European Champions Manchester City, has already made up his mind on where he will play next.

Mbappé had appeared to be committed to Paris Saint-Germain for at least another year. That was at least the player's intention, but after letting the team know he won't be triggering the one-year extension, PSG appears eager to sell rather than take the chance of losing Mbappé to another club for nothing next season.

Despite choosing a prolonged stay at the Parc des Princes over a La Liga club last summer, Mbappé is said to want Real Madrid as his next stop.

The Spanish media questioned Guardiola about the likelihood of Mbappé visiting the Etihad Stadium. He gave a clear answer in response.

“No, he won’t join Manchester City. You already know where he wants to go,” he said in an interview transcribed by L’Équipe.
